GTA 6, release date and preload
Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on Thursday 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. Preload opens a week earlier, on 12 November. No PC version is announced: on release day, you need a console.

Rockstar has announced no PC version of GTA 6: no date, no system requirements, no Steam or Epic listing. The studio's track record puts a port between seven and nineteen months after consoles, which would place GTA 6 on PC somewhere in 2027 or 2028.

GTA 6 sells for €79.99 in the Standard edition and €99.99 in the Ultimate edition. The game is only half the bill: without a console, you must add €649.99 for a PlayStation 5 Slim, the official price since 2 April 2026.
ReadPre-ordering GTA 6
GTA 6 pre-orders have been open since 25 June 2026: €79.99 for the Standard edition, €99.99 for the Ultimate edition. They give access to the 12 November preload. The box sold in shops contains no disc, only a code.
ReadPlaying PS5 games on Mac
No PlayStation 5 game runs natively on macOS. Three routes exist: Remote Play from a PS5 you own, the PC port when there is one, and renting a remote PS5 that you play in Safari or Chrome.
ReadPlaying PS5 on your TV
A Google TV or Android TV set plays a remote PlayStation 5 with no extra box, thanks to the Moonlight app, free on the Play Store. One setting matters more than all the others: switching on the screen's Game mode.

No service streams the PlayStation 5 catalogue as a whole. PlayStation Plus Premium offers a selection subject to publisher agreement, and PC services like GeForce Now only have access to games that exist on PC. For the rest, you need a console.

Five services dominate cloud gaming in France, from €8.99 to €44.98 per month. None gives access to recent PlayStation 5 exclusives or to GTA 6, for a simple reason: they stream either PC games or a negotiated catalogue.

Latency in cloud gaming is the sum of six legs, only one of which cannot be reduced: distance. The rest can be tuned, and two free settings, the TV's Game mode and switching to Ethernet, often remove more time than everything else combined.

A PlayStation 5 Slim has cost €649.99 since April 2026. Rented at €2.68 an hour, the same console works out cheaper as long as you play less than about 240 hours. Beyond that, buying regains the advantage.
ReadThe PS5 games that will not come to PC
Sony confirmed in 2026 that six of its first-party single-player games would stay on console: Gran Turismo 7, Astro Bot, Ghost of Yōtei, Saros, Marvel's Wolverine and God of War Laufey. GTA 6 effectively joins them, as no PC version has been announced.
