Two common Windows pitfalls. Power-saving mode throttles the integrated graphics and drops decoding back to software: switch to High performance when the machine is plugged in. Entry-level laptops also often share their Wi-Fi antenna with Bluetooth, causing stutters as soon as the controller is paired wirelessly: connect it via USB.
